About me

I’m a fully licensed and accredited Acupuncturist and Naturopath (DipAcu, DipNat, MBAcC, mGNC, mANP) with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and an MSc in Environmental Science. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I adhere to the BAcC codes of safe practice and professional conduct and have to comply with current health and safety legislation, with full insurance and the need for continuing professional development.

I come from a strong scientific background,  with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, and an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Science. I’ve worked in medical publishing, in a laboratory, and taught science up to A Level. I believe this background helps me to relate our western medical perspective to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I became an Acupuncturist after it helped me with health issues that no one else seemed interested in or could help with, following a significant trauma. In addition to my training as an Acupuncturist and Naturopath, I also have diplomas in Battlefield (Ear) Acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Facial Gua Sha and Cupping, Facial Indonesian Face-Lift Massage and Microneedling. And I’m specialising in Paediatric Acupuncture at the moment.

The impact of acupuncture

I know from personal experience how difficult life can be. Sometimes it seems as if everything has been thrown at you at the same time, as if the world was trying to see just how much you could cope with at once. But I also know that we can get through these times, that we learn from them, that we change as people and become better through these experiences. Acupuncture helped me and continues to help me, I know that it can do that for you too!

I look forward to seeing you for treatment. You can easily contact me to book your treatments or reach out if you have any questions about  acupuncture and how it can help you.
